Brian McRae’s approach to composing and performing is filled with inspiration from almost every musical genre.

The foundation of Brian McRae’s style was created on a drum set.  Studying drums and percussion at an early age introduced him to a wide variety of artists.  It was these artists who encouraged Brian to develop his performing skills and, who fostered harmonic curiosity that led him to the other instruments in the rhythm section.

Brian McRae's, an independent music artist, debut album, entitled “Pete’s House”, features performances on these instruments and provides a unique take on smooth Texas jazz. Heartfelt melodies and rhythmic tension create a sweet balance that is Brian McRae’s voice.

Born In Hampton, Virginia - Reared in Texas

Graduated from Deer Park High School, Deer Park, Texas

Studied music at South Plains College in Levelland, Texas and Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas - Member of the Texas Tech University Jazz Band

Performance Experience:

• Toured for three years with the Doug Allen Band playing Top 40 Music 

• One year at The Legends Theatre in Branson, Missouri playing drums for the entertainer tribute show

• Three years with The Lawrence Welk Show in Branson, Missouri playing drums and percussion with The Lennon Brothers Show

• Toured with the Lawrence Welk Orchestra for two seasons.

Numerous years of recording session experience playing drums, percussion, guitar, and bass guitar along with providing vocal backup.
